Hey there! We’re Sean & Christopher, the owners of Dough Joy!

Dough Joy began not that long ago, in May of 2021. We wanted to bring something fun, unique, and exciting to Seattle’s food scene, but we had no restaurant or baking experience – just a lot of ideas! After much thought, we bought a food truck, decided on donuts, started recipe testing, and quickly started making fresh raised donuts overnight for our neighbors in Ballard.

What went from baking and selling donuts on a food truck, has turned into a full fledged operation with two shops – one in Capitol Hill & West Seattle, our truck that’s permanently stationed in Ballard, and our new Doughmobile – a super cute horse trailer catering vehicle.

We really love donuts.

When we decided to start a donut business, we knew it couldn’t be just any donut, but a super tasty and fun donut experience!

All our donuts are handmade, all icings are made in house, and we use only the finest ingredients including all natural flavorings and natural coloring – like spirulina, beet, and turmeric for our blue, red, and yellows!

When you come in, you’ll notice we love color in our shop as well! Mostly pink though, tbh.

Let’s keep it fresh.

Every week we release up to three specials, so our menu is constantly changing. Don’t fret however! We do have a selection of donuts that you can find everyday at our shops!

Our donuts are made without egg, dairy, tree nuts, or peanuts, making what we do very special and accessible for people with all types of dietary needs.

As we like to say, we do donuts differently!
